S loves to dance.  And to me, it’s one of the cutest things in the world.  I can’t remember when she first did it, but at some point, she just started bouncing around and shaking her butt with her arms lifted in the air.  And she hasn’t stopped since.  Surely, this trait does not come from her mother.

In the past few days or so, she’s started doing something brand new.  She’s standing – all by herself – look Mom, no hands!

And though my heart is filled with excitement at her latest milestone, this moment is also kind of bittersweet.  I think – wow, soon she’ll be pushing her little feet off the ground and taking her first steps.  And just as I can’t remember how or when she started dancing, as she starts running circles around me, I probably won’t realize until much later that she’s stopped dancing like this.  And then, all I’ll have are my memories and these videos to look back and laugh and remember when she was just a tiny dancer.

I wish I could take it all in, cause it really does go by so fast…
