You’d think that after one experience under my belt, it’s be easier the 2nd time Sophie got sick but no, it was not.
She was a little warm on Monday but nothing major. She still played and ate fine, so I just figured with a little medication, it would pass. But no, I was very, very wrong. She woke up last night with a burning fever – 103.8 – and drenched in sweat. It was scary how hot her head was. And she was in too much pain to sleep. That feeling of helplessness you feel when you can’t fix something, I hate that feeling.
Since then, her fever has gone down and she’s actually gotten some sleep so I’m hoping for a speedy recovery.

i know … it is the worst feeling in the world to have a sick child…helpless, unable to communicate. but she has wonderful parents taking care of her 🙂 how is she now? hopefully all better!
